Dear Friends,
Thank you for your ongoing support with our struggle to prevent Eirgrid from putting 30ft pylons on the sacred lands of Dunderry Park. Your protests are working. Eirgrid have met with us because of the volume of submissions you have sent to date.
We are hopeful that with your continued support we can persuade Eirgrid of the importance of not sitting the pylons on Dunderry Park.
If you have not submitted an objection yet please do so before the deadline of February 11th.

The Tara situation intensifies.
As part of a new legal challenge, a plenary summons has been served
on the Minister for the Environment, the Minister for Transport, the
National Roads Authority and Eurolink Ltd, the consortium awarded the
construction and tolling contract for the proposed motorway. The
summons is seeking a ruling that construction should be halted on the
M3 pending the outcome of a case at present before the European Court
of Justice relating to the Lismullen National Monument. A number of
other claims are made.
Rath Lugh is under serious threat despite earlier assurances from the
NRA that it would not be disturbed. It is presently occupied by a few
brave souls who are doing all they can to prevent further desecration.
Since joining the overall campaign at Samhain 2003 we have held the
vision of a World Heritage Park for the Tara Landscape.
This vision has been expanded and a presentation has been put before
the Cabinet. For initial details, please visit:

Dear Friends - the following is a message from Terry about the situation on Tara at the moment. Please take the time to read this.

30 diggers converged on Soldier's Hill yesterday.
The protesters tried to preserve what they could but 7 got arrested.
3 women 4 men.
The women paid their bail but the men would not agree to the terms of
bail: stay away from the roadworks, don't encourage others to protest.
The men are in Cloverhill Prison and the women are free to keep back.
Protesters are now thin on the ground.
The EU petitions committee visited Tara recently in response to
serious complaints against Ireland's handling of the M3 situation.
Vice Chair Kathy Sinnott MEP called for a halt to all M3 works .
The EU have the authority to do this once the necessary procedures
have been followed.
A further meeting yesterday of higher officials supposedly went well

Drumbeat Special - Tara needs your presence

Hello everyone,

I hope this finds you all well. Thanks to Martin for letting us contact all of you.

For those of you who don't already know this, work has already started on the proposed M3 motorway. Many sacred sites have already been damaged or destroyed, yet protesters are having some success guarding other sites within the Tara Skryne valley. However, numbers are low and more presence is needed on the front line.

Any time you can spare - be it an hour, a day, a week or a month - is essential and would be greatly appreciated. Just come down to the Vigil Fire on the Hill of Tara and they will let you know where your help is most needed.

I have also attached a list of all the radio talk shows, with phone numbers, text numbers and email addresses. We ask that you please let your voice be heard by e-mailing and phoning these talk shows as often as possible to state your opinion on what is happening. Phoning local radio stations will also be of great benefit.

For all of you who cannot be there at the front line, we ask that you help the protest in this way.
